I have always enjoyed sewing and crafting since the age of 9 when I made my first quilt (it was a daisy chain and not very good!) but I persevered and eventually made some clothes, my prom dress (yikes!) and gifts for family and friends. After I had children, I continued to pursue my hobby (although with much less time on my hands) by creating halloween and play costumes, throwing themed birthday parties and encouraging/forcing? my kids to make homemade gifts for family and friends. :) It was a chaotic time but wonderful in many ways!

By 2020, I had four adult children and the fifth was in high school so I quit my part-time job and decided to invest more time doing the things that really brought me joy. While spending the Summer at our family's farm in West Virginia, I was inpired by the beautiful surroundings, the slower pace of life and the sense of peace and calm that comes with being in God's creation. Thus, SweetDaisyHome was born- a name that combines all the things I love! I hope the store can help bring beauty to those who stop by and also bring some calm amidst life's chaos.
